こんばんは。unknownさん。Yeah, Ealac department of Columbia was actually one of my dream academic setting! There are so many resources and full of opportunities for grad students not to mention courseworks are awesome. (albeit it is too intense..) I did my undergrad in Seoul, Korea :)
Hi Zak san! I personally recommend Han Kang’s works. She was awarded the Man Booker Prize and translated into English! https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Han_Kang
As a modern lit person, there are bunch of other books that I want to recommend but I think Han Kang is a good gateway to contemporary Korean lit :)
Wow, it's really cool that you're from Busan. What made you want to go to Columbia? Did you also do your undergrad here?
